Thompson - Okanagan | BC Cider Way

Explore the beauty of the Thompson-Okanagan region on this two to three-day adventure through lake country. Includes ferry travel.

Beginning near Kamloops and winding down through Kelowna and Vernon, this cider route will take you through a diverse landscape, from semi-arid landscapes to lush lake country with gorgeous views all along the way.

This cider route can be completed on its own or easily extended to include the South Okanagan cider route.

Wards Cider

Wards is located in the heart of the Okanagan Valley, in Southeast Kelowna. Southeast Kelowna is located on a bench just above Okanagan Lake. It has well draining sandy loam soils, perfect for growing tree fruits and vines. Wards is a 5th generation family-owned business. Both cider apples and wine grapes are grown on the family estate. While our ciders take on the name of family’s pioneering forefather George Ward, the wines we make from our grapes are labelled under The View Winery label.
